Sound Room VII: "Crumbs and Darkness" is a collaboration between visual artist Egle Oddo and sound artists Ish S (diFfuSed beats | edGeCut), Petri Kuljuntausta and David Rothenberg, which searches for the infinitesimal space between, or a colour.
Ish S (diFfuSed beats | edGeCut) diFfuSed beats is a duo comprising of Konrad Bayer (Munich) and Ish Shehrawat (Delhi) as they engage with sound with both philosophical and de-constructive aesthetics. They work with sound subjectively and are continuously deconstructing culture perception and hegemonic sounds. For this collaboration, Ish S will perform works of diFfuSed beats and some of his compositions using 4 audio channel live set which surrounds the audience to give them an immersive spatial experience of the Sounds and music. http://soundreasons.in/diffused-beats/ Egle Oddo Oddo is a visual artist whose work focuses on narrative as an art form, combining different media, performative elements and the investigation of social interaction. He is famous for music composed of sounds both natural and extraordinary. Since 2011 Kuljuntausta has been running the Sound Art Gallery Akusmata, a gallery for Sound Art, Sound Installations, and sound-based Media Art and Video Art. https://sites.google.com/site/petrikuljuntausta/home http://akusmata.com/ David Rothenberg Rothenberg has written and performed on the relationship between humanity and nature for many years. He is the author of Why Birds Sing, Sudden Music, Blue Cliff Record, Hand’s End and Always the Mountains. His latest book on insects and music is under the title Bug Music. Rothenberg is also a composer and jazz clarinetist, and he has nine CDs out under his own name. Other releases include Why Birds Sing and Whale Music.
