On December 2021 Third Space turned 8 years old. All these years we inhabited our gallery space located at Tarkk'ampujankatu 18, 00150 Helsinki, Finland.
Since then our collective-run space became a place for creation, thinking and action. A dedicated free-of-charge place to influence the mainstream and the currents within, a place for communal thinking and encounters, a space for people, for dialogue through art and its productions and a space to host diverse people and ideas.

We had the honour to host 327 events through which we collaborated, co-hosted and co-organized with 685 people: artists, curators, researchers, artivists and art educators. We are thankful to all of our collaborators as well as the city of Helsinki and Taiteen edistämiskeskus for their support. It has been a meaningful journey for us and hopefully for all of our co-organisers and collaborators and not to forget the audience(s). Time has come for us to change both our agenda and our location. Therefore, Third Space moved out from Tarkk'ampujankatu 18 and has taken a nomad form. In our long journey in the past we gratefully collaborated with many people, institutions and non-institutions, yet pandemic hit us in our emotions, thinking and actions. It affected our collective work in the current small space we have inhabited for years, therefore we decided to move out.

The Third Space mission remains, we continue our collective work for the time being as a nomad inhabiting other existing spaces and non-spaces until the time comes for us to again relocate ourselves in a fixed location or to completely change.
