I use different media for the final work. In general my works open up a gap between art and science. My recent projects deal with the loss of memory through passing time, and finding a way to recover this forgotten memory back. My works are the reflection of my life experience through art. My main concern for working on brain and memory is because of the events that have happened to me in my life. I chose to live in Norway and built up a family here and somehow I became disconnected with my roots in my home country, Serbia about 13 years. Most of my memory of home has vanished, I research and discover this forgotten memory through artistic practice." Kristina C. Karlsen is a Serbian artist currently based in Trondheim, Norway.
