Takashi Mitsui (b. 1966) lives and works as visual artist and musician in Cologne.
"Since several years I have been often dealing with such artworks that are combined with kinetic art and sound installations. The sounds are partly generated by movements of mechanical constructions and transmitted by electrical devices, or combined with electronic sound elements. In this project “Campanula”, I produce a new sound installation as continuance of my previous artistic direction, to transform the acoustic sound sources to electronic sounds and to involve a site-specific character with the exhibition space at the same time. In this installation, a small tree that looks like bellflower should play the central role for both visual and acoustic characters." T.M.
