A two-day workshop introducing artists to the world of electronics and arduino microprocessors
By Marko Timlin
16.5.2020 @ 13.00-18.00
17.5.2020 @ 13.00-18.00
• Are you interested in media arts?
• Would you like know how you can control electronic components like lights or motors?
• Would you like to create an interactive art project with sensors?
• Interested in kinetic artworks?
• Would you like to connect the physical world with the digital world?
• Do you like tortoises?
Then welcome, this is the right workshop for YOU!
During this hands-on workshop lead by Marko Timlin participants will learn the basic principles of electronics and arduino microprocessors. Arduino is a popular open-source electronic prototyping platform enabling users to create interactive electronic objects. It is based on easy-to-use hardware and software. Arduino boards are able to read inputs – from sensors, potentiometers etc. - and turn it into an output - activating a motor, turning on an LED etc.
The main goal of this workshop is to provide participants with helpful and inspiring knowledge that enables them to realize their own artistic ideas.
This workshop is open to anyone: previous knowledge of electronics or arduino is not required.
Participants with previous knowledge are also warmly welcome of course.
Workshop fee: 50€ (Each participant will get his own arduino compatible microprocessor. This is included in the workshop fee.)
Amount of participants: 10.
Please bring your own laptop in case you have one!
