"A grid is a metaphor for regularity and organization. I’ll be drawing horizontal and vertical lines on the walls of the space for two days for as long as there is white wall to draw on. The grid will get tighter and tighter with every line. My eyesight will get blurry, my right arm and neck will start hurting and the line will get shakier as hours pass. The act will be an exhausting repetition of coffee drinking and drawing that will turn the space from light to dark line by line.
Without a ruler - An act of becoming tired is a long-durational performance focusing on the rhythm and repetition of line drawing as an experience. It's also a physical demonstration of the collective tiredness we're experiencing trying to keep up with the world during the darkest months of the year and a manifest for acknowledging and accepting human boundaries.
Welcome to visit and witness this act which is mentally and physically exhaustive. Let’s get tired together!"
