SOUND ROOM CVI
Jukka Kääriäinen is a musician and sound artist based in Helsinki Finland. Jukka is an active performer in the Finnish scene of improvised and contemporary music and has collaborated with musicians such as Teppo Hauta-Aho, Kalle Kalima, Harri Sjöström, Emilio Gordoa, Elena Kakaliagou, Rieko Okuda, Antti Virtaranta, Roomet Jakapi, Anil Eraslan, Mikko Innanen and Paul Pignon and has premiered pieces by composers such as Sebastian Hilli, Sami Klemola, Clara de Asis and Leo Dupleix. Jukka is also a member of contemporary music ensemble Sähkökitarakvartetti.
Jukka has composed two radio works with Annika Fuhrmann to YLE (Finnish national radio) and has played on several recordings such as Winter Suite by Duo Teppo Hauta-aho & Jukka Kääriäinen (Creative Sources), Meeting by Kalmisto Trio (Karkia Mistika) and the first solo album Demoiselle (Art First Records).
This concert is part of Third Space open call selected projects for the year 2021 with the theme "Vulnerability, collaboration, exchanges", supported by Taike.
