SOUND ROOM XLV
8.8.2016
Tölöläb is an improvisation group which seeks to combine woodwinds and improvised live electronics to make new music. The members, Turkka Inkilä, flute, Saku Mattila, oboe, Antti Salovaara, bassoon and Taavi Oramo, live electronics, are all classical musicians with a strong background in improvisation. What makes Tölöläb unique is their approach to electronics, which they use to sample, mangle, de- and reconstruct what is played live. Tölöläb uses little pre-recorded material in their concerts. Genre is not a binding issue for Tölöläb. Sibelius could get funky or you could get IRCAM-influenced hiphop. Anything can happen! https://soundcloud.com/tololab Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/1811257585771820/ |
