Libero Mureddu (keyboards) and Moritz Cartheuser (electric guitar and objects) started playing together in 2013, as the sounding component of the Liquid Quartet (with dancers Giorgio Convertito and Terhi Vaimala). The project Mureddu://:Cartheuser was soon established, when they began to work in the reduced form of a duo. Their pieces reflect the broad musical background of both performers, from jazz, rock, electroacoustic and classical contemporary music, and free improvisation. Starting from those influences the duo has developed its own recognizable sound, a sonic discussion between two improvisers sharing their rich musical vocabulary.
