Bringing forth the inner earth
Performers: Toûa Eukaryote, André Calvário and João Sousa "Bringing forth the inner earth" is a ritual and a method to reach deep within oneself to evoke an experience of belonging and participation to the spectrum of species and the ecosystem. Through sexual energy, love and identifying with the processes of the natural world the artists of the performance aspire to softly seduce one back to nature and to create shifts from an individual and human centered thinking towards an intuitive, loving and sustainable relationship towards the whole ecosystem – including oneself. In our practice we explore ecosexuality which can be interpreted as falling in love with or getting aroused by nature and as committing comprehensively to life – the environment, the whole of all organisms as well as oneself – and to the wellbeing of all these lifeforms. Throughout this process we will be wildering our bodies and hearts towards nature and seek erotic experiences with it in concord, creating connection and looking to develop deeper emotions towards the whole natural world as well as it’s individual parts. We feel this path as the call of the inner earth hidden in our genomes, bringing the ground inside to breathe and live on our skins, to share our collective existence sustainably and caringly, maybe to even fall in love. The performance consists of an installation of three bodies that move to create a pulsation, sounds to resonate with the earth between the countless heartbeats of many forms and synchronize ourselves with the rhythm inside. Come and let yourself rest in the mountains of the movement and feel free to try the method in the nearest forest to you." Deprogramming - Death of a party girl- the new rite of passage series
Mutalahden Anna "Deprogramming" dwells into themes of regression and questioning impulses of behavior. What lies in core personality or is everything an arbitrary collection of soaked up patterns, traumas and mannerism which we find amusing. This is a slow removal of the vaccination of society, civilization and preparing minds to love and sensually feel the surrounding ecosystems which are enticed in the the performance "Bringing forth the inner earth". |
