Tusz za Rogiem is a tattoo artist duo from Warsaw, Poland, who are currently on tour making their unique style tattoos, specializing in thin precise lines of black and white.
For this one evening, they are coming to Third Space to give the visitors a chance to see them at work. The evening aims to offer an alternative to how tattoos can be made and how to consider tattooing also as an performative art form. http://tuszzarogiem.com/ Tusz za Rogiem is: Szymon Małecki, born 1983 in Warsaw. Finished philosophy studies at Warsaw University. Is also a photographer (over half of his life) and a musician, as well as a tattooist. At the moment he is focusing on painting and combining his audio productions with visual experience, resulting with videos with close-knit audio-visual relation. Grzegorz Jarzynowski, 25, lives in Warsaw, where he graduated from Academy of Fine Arts (ASP Warszawa), having studied painting and graphics. Has has drawn since he can remember, and it's his way of understanding and describing the world. Majority of his work can be divided into photography, painting and illustration. Lately he has also been interested in calligraphy and tattoing. He is working on retrieving traditional techniques of expression using only basic materials, and making them attractive again. |
