Rosamaria Bolom is an artist from Mexico living in Finland.
She works with the southern Mexican paper maché technique known as Cartonería. Her battle with patriarchal representations is ubiquitous in her work. In this particular collection of masks she proposes a transformation of sorts that suggests a violent process, almost cathartic. It is her representation of the feminine where you see her conflict with her complicity.
