Absence in constant connection is a series of narrative video works and digitally manipulated images that examine how algorithm based technologies interpret and represent audio-visual information. What do these systems choose to exhibit and what do they relegate to the realm of disappearance? Who owns these systems and what are their agendas? The project investigates the new meanings and phenomena that these systems propagate and how that influences human emotions and agency. |
